“Dancing Colors” is a 90-minute creative session designed for children aged 6–10. Inspired by the famous cut-out artworks of Henri Matisse, this workshop combines art history with hands-on creativity. Children explore color, shape, and composition by cutting bold, organic forms and arranging them into vibrant collages.

The session begins with a short introduction to Matisse and his late-life collage works, followed by guided activities in cutting, arranging, and layering shapes. Children experiment with composition and visual balance before gluing their final designs. The workshop concludes with a gallery walk and group reflection, encouraging creativity, collaboration, and confidence through artistic expression.

This activity nurtures creativity, spatial awareness, fine motor skills, and an appreciation of modern art. The workshop is organized at the Eindhoven Library.

“My First Çini Plate” is a creative workshop designed for children aged 4–12 and organized at the Eindhoven Library as part of the celebration of International Mother Language Day. The workshop introduces children to çini, a traditional Turkish decorative art known for its colorful patterns and floral motifs. Through a hands-on activity using paper plates, colored paper, and markers, participants create their own decorative “çini-style” plates.

The workshop is conducted in Turkish, offering Turkish-speaking children a meaningful opportunity to experience an art form connected to their cultural heritage while expressing themselves in their mother tongue. At the same time, the activity welcomes children and families from different cultural backgrounds, encouraging cultural exchange and curiosity.

By exploring simple patterns, symmetry, and color, children develop creativity, fine motor skills, and cultural awareness. The workshop creates an inclusive and joyful environment where art becomes a bridge between language, culture, and creative expression.
